How do I become a new patient?

Call our office at (601) 589-4854 or use the scheduling link on our website to request an initial evaluation. A team member will confirm your appointment and email you the intake paperwork.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your initial evaluation is 60–75 minutes. Dominique will take time to understand your personal history, current symptoms, and goals for care. It's a collaborative conversation — not a checklist. Together you'll discuss next steps, which may include a treatment plan, medication, or referrals.

How far in advance should I schedule?

We recommend scheduling as soon as possible, as new patient appointments can be booked out several weeks in advance. If you have an urgent need, please call our office directly, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need a referral to be seen?

In most cases, no referral is required. However, some insurance plans do require a referral for specialist visits. We recommend checking with your insurance provider before scheduling.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We are currently in-network with Medicare, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, Mississippi Medicaid, and more. Coverage varies by plan — please verify your mental health benefits with your insurance provider before your first appointment.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Will you bill my insurance directly?

Yes. If you are using insurance, we will submit claims on your behalf. You are responsible for any applicable copays, deductibles, or services not covered by your plan.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes. We offer secure video telehealth appointments for patients located in Mississippi. Telehealth is available for follow-up visits and medication management. Some evaluations may require an in-person visit — please call to confirm.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Please call our office as soon as possible if you need to make changes.

Follow-up frequency depends on your individual treatment plan. After your initial evaluation, Dominique will recommend a schedule based on your needs — this may range from bi-weekly to every few months once you are stable.

Will I be prescribed medication at my first visit?

Not necessarily. A thorough evaluation is required before any prescribing decisions are made. Dominique will discuss all treatment options with you, and any medication decisions will be made collaboratively.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Controlled substance prescribing, when appropriate, requires an established relationship and thorough evaluation.

Can you take over prescribing from my current provider?

In many cases, yes. Please bring a complete list of your current medications, dosages, and the name of your prescribing provider. Dominique will review your history and discuss a plan with you at your evaluation.

What conditions do you treat?

We treat a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, panic disorder, insomnia, mood disorders, and more. If you are unsure whether your concern is within our scope, please call and we will let you know.
